3 days Uganda tour features game drive and boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth park plus gorilla trekking adventure in the impenetrable forest of Bwindi; home to over half the last surviving mountain gorillas in the world.
Day 1: Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
Depart Mbarara at appx. 10am after your breakfast, we drive via Bushenyi and Igara Tea plantations, we have a brief stop over to view the crater lakes and Rift Valley enroute, We arrive at the park in the early afternoon and head straight for the 2 Boat cruise along Kazinga Channel, here we expect to see lots of birds, hippos, Elephants, Buffaloes and lots more, after we head to our Lodge for Dinner and Overnight ( Mweya Safari lodge, Katara Lodge or Simba Safari camp.
Day 2; Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth
We start the day, with an early morning breakfast, and head for the Kasenyi Track for our game drive. This day we hope to see the lions, Elephants, Buffaloes, Warthogs, Antelopes and lots more wildlife in their natural setting. The game drives takes appx 2 and a half hour. We return to the Lodge for early lunch and after depart for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, arriving in the evening. Dinner and Overnight at Mahogany Springs/Bwindi View Bandas.
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi
We awake early morning to a hearty breakfast, in the middle of the Jungle and then proceed to the briefing point for the 8am briefing session. After a brief from the park guides on the do’s and don’ts and what to expect for the Trek, we set for the Jungle for an encounter of a life time with the mountain gorillas. The trek can take anywhere between 2 to 6 hours depending on how far the gorillas are. We return to the Lodge for lunch and after depart for Mbarara.
